Chason • "Showtime"
2017 looks to host big changes for Chicago Crossover artist/producer Chason. After releasing his debut project Recollections recently, the blunt truth crooner, returns calling for lights, camera, action with a video for his single, "Showtime".
Chason, being the lover of ladies he is lays, it all on the line with his new song "Showtime". The track, featured on his most recent collection, receives the Peter Collins Campbell treatment here that underlines the sort of uplifting feels that'll quickly have you forgetting about the snow outside. Previously connecting on Chason’s "Drake Wouldn't Treat Me Like This", Campbell, sticking to his graphically inclined guns, fires off on all cylinders. With intense video, and computer imagery, the visual puts you into a retro virtual reality simulation that comes complemented perfectly by Chason's crossover ability here. Produced by himself, Chason really bangs out with these tropical drum patterns, progressively, I feel like he’s on the path to a new genre. Assuming there’s no director’s cut for "Showtime", be prepared to see Chason performing live at the Chicago Crossover Showcase March 24th at AMFM Gallery in Pilsen.
