L.A. VanGogh • "No Service"
Tonight, just moments away, L.A. VanGogh will headline a weekday performance at Emporium in Wicker Park. The small venue has hosted some of the most insane events on random weekdays courtesy of talented up and coming musicians who grace Emporium's stage like L.A. VanGogh. L.A. is hardly a household name, but he is quickly becoming a name to lookout for among those in the know for his proficiency behind the mic and the production software of his choosing.
Departing from his group work with Ambi Lyrics for a moment (kind of, their group safeNsound produced this record), L.A. drops some solo gold called "No Service". Put the phone down and really give this one a listen. It's not complicated, but L.A. has some things to say that you need to hear. There's no shortage of bars here, but for those without the lyrical prowess of L.A. VanGogh, you don't get no service, so just stop trying.
