Japandrew & Dotkom (Ft. Chris Crack) • "The Line"
Words by Peter Bonamici
Some of us older folk tend to experience a thirst for the early 90’s that we still can’t quench decades later. We have those who have stayed true to the era's ambience such as MF Doom and others who have abandoned it completely to ride whatever new wave crashes over the horizon. Producer Janpandrew keeps that 90’s boom bap rap esthetic alive in his new single "The Line", aided by Chris Crack and theWHOevers Dotkom. Maybe it's the minimalist approach that brings us back down memory lane. Either that or perhaps its the "Sabotage" type hook layered over a classic police siren. Nevertheless it still hits you in your feels if you’re urging to relive the past with a fresh 2016 coat of paint on it.
