Westside Flee • "Fo Da Love"

Directed by Westside Flee

Chicago's Westside Flee has quietly been making waves out west for some time now, but his breakthrough to larger platforms is imminent. Taking a day trip to the Loop, Flee tries his hand at directing in his visual for "Fo Da Love", a loose single we first heard several months ago. Love might be the motivation, but Trump certainly doesn't get any in this short clip as the Flee can be seen flipping off the monstrosity Trump created downtown as he stands in front of graffiti that simply states "fuck Trump". While this and most of what we've heard from Flee have been one off singles, the "Black Zack Morris" continues to peak our curiosity with his very Chicago sound and braggadocios bars. He may have been mistaken for Chief Keef at the end of this visual, but Flee is far from just another drill rapper. While I'm a fan of the drill genre, the west side has always been known for delivering a more content dominant sound, and Flee continues to fit that mold.
