Owen Bones • 'Surrender EP'

Owen Bones is a name that has been popping up around the city with increasing frequency over the course of the last year or so and today the multifaceted artist returns with a fresh collection of work tied together under the banner of Surrender, the latest multi-track offering from Bones since his Sabotage release in June. 

Here, dude seems to be exploring some pretty interesting new soundscapes that definitely feel like a welcome evolution that is an understood continuance of the works we've come to know from the Chicago beatsmith to date. Having already unveiled a pair of singles from the project, today essentially served as an unveiling of the projects single of sorts in the Mick Jenkins-aided "Stuntman" featuring Kevin Abstract that arrived packaged with "Grapefruit" ft. Myrone and "Forecast" ft. THIRSTY & High that you can find below. Top to bottom, this one is a welcome evolution for an artist that doesn't appear to be leaving the public consciousness anytime soon. As the warmer months start to creep back into our lives, I'm almost positive Bones will have some tunes to soundtrack it. For now though, give Surrender a spin above.
