Charles Lauste (Ft. Femdot & Shawnee Dez) • "XXII"

Producer Charles Lauste and emcee Femdot have a long history in music together, even if their names don't ring out very loud at the moment. Femi has had a good year, one that saw the release two amazing EPs, Fo(u)r and Thr(we), and he's been dubbed one of Red Bull's latest Sound Select artists, an honor that's taken his act on the road.

With the anticipation for Femdot's Femdelacreme 2 growing and new listeners catching on to this lyrically proficient beast each day, Femdot and longtime friend Charles revisit the title track from the latter's EP released earlier this year. Stripmall Productions mans the camera and adds a trippy backdrop comprised of stock footage and animation throughout. Singer Shawnee Dez doesn't make an appearance in the video, but her presence is felt from her vocals alone.

Moral of the story, don't sleep on Femdot, Charles, or the rest of their GRWYF$ crew. The talent hidden away in dark corners of Chicago is plentiful, but thankfully as a result of this bright light shining down on the city lately, more are getting the opportunity to see, hear and discover great acts like these guys.
