Probcause (Ft. KSRA & Nico Segal) • "Pale Moonlight"
Probcause is easily one of Chicago's most consistent acts at this point. Boasting bars for days, clever rhymes schemes, a dedicated fanbase and an ability to crossover to several different genres at a moment's notice, the Evanston native has certainly found his place amongst the greater hip-hop and music lexicon. Today, he teamed up with Yahoo! Music for the premiere of his video for "Pale Moonlight" featuring KSRA and Donnie Trumpet.
The visual is set back in the 20s with a real cinematic vibe that was actually captured locally at DePaul's section of Cinespace on the city's southwest side where shows like Chicago PD, Empire and Chicago Fire are filmed. Prob hit me up when they were filming and invited me to the other end of Pilsen to watch the making of the video and it was very first-class from top to bottom, something that is easily evident throughout the dope visual. It's a perfect play off the song, which originally debuted as part of his most recent collection WAVES and featured a guest verse from KSRA, who is a welcome feature here after going silent the last few months.
Anyway, check out the visual above and definitely make sure you pay attention to the kind of organic, ground-level moves that Prob is making around the city on the regular. He even dropped a pair of Bucketfeet recently. For now, though, enjoy "Pale Moonlight".
