Chicago Adds A New Festival To Its Lineup • Sacred Rose Fest 2022

For its inaugural debut, SACRED ROSE is bringing Americana, Psych-rock, Jam, Indie, Soul, Funk, and Bluegrass performances to Chicagoland’s SeatGeek Stadium Campus with performances from Phil Lesh & Friends, The War On Drugs, Yves Tumor, Liz Cooper, Danielle Ponder, and more next weekend.

Decades of involvement in booking and hosting events across Chicago and founding festivals such as North Coast, Hulaween, and Summer Camp, have led SACRED ROSE organizers to design a weekend catered to music-lovers. Comprised of three stages (The Canopy, The Vega, and The Dreamfield), the immersive festival encourages attendees to craft an experience exclusive to their musical desires.

“As avid music fans ourselves, we curated three different stages with specific genres each day that feel like standalone shows,” festival founder Michael Berg says. “SACRED ROSE is a choose-your-own-musical-adventure of sorts; you have the option of exploring our full spectrum of bands or just vibing to your favorite acts.”

Gone is the model of hour-long sets; instead, attendees will be met with extended performances from their favorite acts ranging from 75 minutes to three hours to provide listeners with deep catalog cuts and spontaneous, unduplicated performances.

The festival takes place from Friday, August 26, through Sunday, August 28, 2022. 3-day and single-day tickets are live and can be purchased here. Stay tuned for day-of and post-festival coverage on our channels.

Festival Recap

SACRED ROSE’s inaugural debut at SeatGeek Stadium Campus brought together Americana, Psych-rock, Jam, Indie, Soul, Funk, and Bluegrass fans for an unforgettable festival during the weekend of August 26-28. These Days took to their festival grounds to document the experience through the eyes of its attendees. Read quotes from attendees below.

“Sacred Rose has been able to create an atmosphere that’s allowed everyone in attendance to enjoy themselves, especially in the Laser Dome. It’s been an enthralling space that made everyone who entered the premises dance regardless of age, background, or music taste. Children who were barely able to walk were moving their bodies. Every single person has been as free as could be, unbothered by time or schedules and only focused on the sounds projecting through our bodies.” - René B.

“I've been loving the variety of fashion. You see everything from eccentric rave wear to laid-back festival fits. Everyone’s very-much themselves here and their personalities come through in an authentic way.” - Reese L.

“The Dome’s been awesome and a really welcoming change to the rest of the fest. It’s been a maximum sensory overload in the best possible way it’s light show and music that’s being played.” - Korbin W.

“My favorite part of the weekend has been the people, hands down. Obviously, the artists have been incredible, but everyone’s been super respectful of one another. We’re truly all here with the same mission— to listen to music and enjoy each other’s company.” - Cecilia S.

“I really love the multi-generational aspect. I’ve yet to see a festival lineup in Chicago that appeals so much to both young and old. I came with my parents, and we’re both equally thrilled.” - Miles E.
