Fall

Follow Ness Heads, Drew Damen and Grammy Szn

Ness Heads has been finding her voice with every subsequent release this year, and with her fourth single of 2019, she further showcases the self-assuredness of an artist that can deftly channel different styles to encapsulate the emotion each of her songs calls for.

Whereas her last single, “Paper Town” has an acoustic-inspired vibe, her second These Days-premiered track, “Fall” (produced by Drew Damen and Grammy Szn), is an energetic hip hop heater. In the intro and outro Ness Heads sings, “Do or die, do you ‘cause I do mine”, an ode to the song “Do You” by Twista, featuring West-side legends The Do or Die. Taken within the context of the song, it’s a common hip hop flex. Given her dramatic shifts in styles and sounds while still finding a way to stay true to her style , Ness really is doing hers, and doing hers in a way that’s catching the attention of multiple audiences.

As we push towards mid-2019, we can only hope there’s more music to come from the Chicago native this year. With the body of work we’ve seen so far, Ness should definitely be on your list of upcoming artists to keep tabs on.
