KAMI • "Scene Girl" (Prod. Knox Fortune)
As far as collectives go, SaveMoney is heading into some unprecedented waters. The crew that has largely paced the scene in Chicago the last few years appears primed to continue doing so for the near future, and today another chapter of the larger story grew a bit as KAMI debuted his single "Scene Girl" off the highly-anticipated upcoming full-length, Just Like The Movies, due out next month.
This one finds KAMI opposite frequent collaborator Knox Fortune, who once again lays a meandering, thought-provoking backing from which the artist formerly known as Kami De Chukwu waxes poetic on the ladies often found hanging around shows, smoking cigarettes outside of sessions and otherwise serving as the central motif for much of the work that ends up reaching out airwaves. While the song itself is a growth forward for the rising latest segment of the SaveMoney army, it also serves as an apt preview of the thematics we can expect on the upcoming visual rendering which is sure to impress, just like the movies. Anyway, the world is always a better place when we get some new Kami & Knox. Check it out for yourself above.
