Jaro (Ft. Cae Jones & Chandy) • "Low Lights"
Directed by Yakub Films
The fine folks over at Elevator recently hosted an "all Chicago everything" release on their booming YouTube channel. The new music video is "Low Lights", the lead track off of producer Jaro's most recent EP, La Bleue. Featuring vocals from his frequent collaborators Cae Jones and Chandy (of Beach Jesus), the single is enhanced significantly from the visual direction courtesy of Yak. Featuring less performance shots and instead honing in on a "day in the life" type narrative, the visual piece showcases various elements within Chicago: dimly lit underpasses, late night Chinatown trips, moonlit Roman candles, tea time on rooftops, and daytime skateboarding through the Windy City. Drone game strong, sunset game strong. What more can one ask for in under four minutes? If you need more from Jaro, Cae, and Chandy, be sure to revisit their track "Tangerine", which we released on our compilation Tokens earlier this year.
