Lud Foe (Ft. Lil Durk) • "Gang Shit"

Lud Foe continues to bring the brains and brawn, sacrificing nothing to energy in his rise to the top. People can complain about trappers’ dependence on flow over content and wordplay, but the criticisms don’t hold here. Much like his predecessors Lil Bibby and G Herbo did a couple years ago, Lud Foe is proving the lesson people forget time and time again, that lyrical depth and heart aren’t mutually exclusive. Lud Foe’s track’s build on themselves, his rhyme’s gaining speed. You may have thought you were listening to one more off-shoot of 2012’s movement, when all of a sudden it’s more Twista than Sosa.

Today's release "Gang Shit" is one of several exclusives that dropped via DJ Bands Chilanta 2. It sounds like the underrated Cago Leek kicks off "Gang Shit" with the first verse, but for whatever reason isn't credited. The track also featuring Lil Durk is definitely a highlight from the tape, but both artists make more than one appearance throughout the 28 track compilation, so peep DJ Bandz' project in its entirety for more previous unreleased material from some of Chicago and Atlanta's very best. Lud For is proving he's a force to be reckoned with on track at a time. Gaining more momentum each day, Lud Foe is set to have a huge summer if he drops a project with the right single.
