Logan Cage • "Eagles"
Directed by J.Krown
You know when Logan Cage drops something new, producer Flight and cinematographer J.Krown aren't far behind. The trio win again with the release of the short and sweet "Eagles", a song about hard work and reaching new heights. The thing with waves is before one breaks, there's already another taking shape. With hip hop in Chicago acting as a feeder team to the big leagues, there are a lot of future somebodies looking for the right lighting to display their work.
Logan's not new to the scene by any means, but he is technically only one project in. In addition to 1636, Logan has kept his fans fed with the release of a handful of EPs and an ungodly amount of loose singles. To add to the collection, "Eagles" is another Logan cut that won't find a home on any project, but the team couldn't help but combine the wavy aesthetic of the song with the literal waves of Lake Michigan and the title of Logan's new EP. We're still awaiting the follow up to his well received debut, but Logan is currently prepping The New Wave EP. Details surrounding the project are scarce, but Logan has told us that none of the music for the EP has been released yet; there is a single on the way though.
Logan is also announcing today his third headlining performance in Chicago. The first two were in front of sold out crowds at Reggies on Chicago's near southside, but now the Cubs fan is heading up north to give Lincoln Hall a go on June 23rd. More details on the show and ticket sales are forthcoming.
