Brian Fresco • "Call"
Chicago's SaveMoney collective has been enjoying a crazy year that has seen several from the well-worn crew break through to the big time and several others take distinctive steps in that direction. One of those making a big leap in 2016 was none other than Brian Fresco who returned with a long-awaited release in his Casanova project that was the catalyst for his latest visual. A cinematic portrayal of his single "Call" is brought to life here by the ultra-talented Peter Campbell.
The last time these two teamed up for a video it was 2014's "Bae" off his SoulMoney effort alongside MC Tree that was actually shot in the basement of my old house. While that was a peek into what the pair were able to achieve together, this one hits everything on the head, aptly framing Fresco in a less ruffled, more grown up motif that he has been pushing lately with well-placed Burberry scarves and knee-length jackets. Premiering on FADER earlier today, this one should continue to keep the engines firing for Fresco, who has been supplying a consistent body of work since stepping out in 2012 with Mafioso.
Check out the video above and be sure to pick up a RedEye today if you're in the city to catch Fresco's cover story with Josh Terry and keep an eye out throughout the visual, you just might catch some familiar faces. For more? Check back here soon.
