Freddie Gibbs • "All Day"
2016 has been a year of mixed emotions nationwide. The Cubs won, but so did Trump. A lot of victories and sacrifices across the board, but not many had the type of year Freddie Gibbs has. Gibbs was apprehended on sexual assault charges for the French authorities in June and was extradited to Austria where the alleged crime was committed in order to stand trial. The Gary, Indiana native spent nearly four months in prison overseas awaiting trial, but was acquitted of all charges in late September.
Having returned home just recently, it's great to see Gangsta Gibbs hit the ground running with new music. With a dark chapter of his life now behind him, he takes the first opportunity he could get to jump in the studio with Brooklyn based producer Harry Fraud, a name synonymous with New York hip hop and the early careers of Action Bronson, French Montana and Chinx just to name a few. A producer known for his ability to blend traditional hip hop production elements with the street, the marriage of Harry Fraud and Freddie Gibbs on today's release "All Day" is a match made in heaven. Welcome back Gibbs!
