Jeremiah Meece • Vocal EP1

See this content in the original post

I've been familiar with the movements and happenings of Chicago artist Jeremiah Meece for the last few years. As one half of the (now defunct) duo The-Drum, he's assisted with producing songs for local acts like JODY and Dre Green as well as nation-wide names like Mykki Blanco and Rahel. Most recently, the talented artist has been honing in on his solo material, linking with Los Angeles/Baltimore label Nina Pop to release a six song EP known simply as VOCAL EP1. The project is stripped down, full of bare energy, and perhaps most notably, full of Meece's vocals. Handling all duties himself (vocals, music, even mastering), the emotional and personal project is one meant for more than one listen. "Unfurl" is a personal favorite after two listens, but the whole project is so relaxing and layered that it's hard to give a final answer without giving the content more necessary spins.
