ZMoney (Ft. Polo & Brickfare) • "Sane Gang"
Directed by Will Hoopes
In 2013, ZMoney was living like a boss, professionally riding the wave of the national media's attention on Chicago's drill movement. With hits like "Regular" and "Want My Money" off of his double mixtape release (RICHB4RAP and Heroin Musik), Z seemed destined to shine. Two years and a couple of prison terms later, the West Side native is out to pick up right where he left off. Unfortunately, if you were waiting on ZMoney's three-part project The 3mpire, it looks like you'll be waiting forever. Like many artists, if something sits on the shelf for too long, it gets stale, and it seems that such is the case with The 3mpire. It's been two years since ZMoney started recording that project, and he's prepared to start fresh with something entirely new.
Since coming home for the second time this year in October, ZMoney has remained fairly quiet, plugging away in the studio and spending time with friends and family. With fans clamoring for the next "Regular", Z returns today with his first new drop featuring frequent collaborators Polo and Brickfare. It's the same gang on "Sane Gang", no better way to do it. Along with the video and single, ZMoney also announced that "Sane Gang" is the first from his upcoming mixtape Last Letter. All we know now is that Last Letter is coming soon. Lets hope Z stays on his best behavior until its release. I think listeners are more than ready for a new project from the restaurant-owning entrepreneur.
