The Palmer Squares have been a local group that I've watched develop in a much different way than most other "rappers" in Chicago. While they're indeed rappers and have been doing it for some time now, they're rarely seen grouped together with other rising Chicago notables. At first glance you may not think these guys are in the same league as a Saba, Hurt Everybody, or Alex Wiley, but The Palmer Squares have an incredible fan base that would beg to differ. Having the streets of Chicago behind you is important, but establishing a solid online presence is the first step toward getting your music heard all over the world.

Seems like The Palmer Squares are doing fairly well in both categories. So well in fact, that they're not stingy with the potion in the new video for "Pass The Potion" from their most recent release In Context. The video follows their Tony Brooks on a night of debauchery that starts at a Palmer Squares show at Abbey Pub and ends in a confusing potion induced haze.  I know it's only Tuesday, but don't let the potion skip you!
