Trapo (Ft. Max Wonders) • "Faster"
Two of the more exciting teenage rappers in the music scene right now, Chicago's Max Wonders and Madison, Wisconsin's Trapo have joined forces on the new single “Faster.” Both came together on "Phone Call" earlier this fall and Trapo and Wonders made Pigeons & Planes' recent list of 20 Under 20: Teenage Rappers You Should Know.
Wonders is fresh off of dropping his most recent EP, You Will Never Find, which we haven't stopped blasting since it was released last month. His double-time verse on "Faster" paints a vivid snapshot in stunning contrast to Trapo's singing.
“I'm only seventeen, but this clip holds 21.”
While 17-year-old Trapo doesn't have a proper release, he does have a series of singles on SoundCloud that are all worth listening to. “Cards and Conversation” and “Drugs (Interlude)”, especially. And “DUI”. And his two songs with XVRHLDY.
“Faster” is at least the third song by Trapo where he talks about driving recklessly. From car crashes to DUIs to high speed chases with “gasoline in the whip”, it's obvious that he's a fan of his driver's license. His SoundCloud bio says simply “Play addiction" and on his newest single, he does just that. Reflective and serene, “Faster” is four minutes of emotional cruise music.
Expect more in the coming weeks from Trapo and Wonders, as the two prepare their collaborative project, Help Me Help You.
