ChiBrations • Amyna Love

UPDATE: We were taken back by her rendition of "I Would Die For You" earlier this month, and now Amyna Love makes her return to close out her time as ChiBrations' November featured artist, performing her unreleased and original work "Black Girl Magic." We're very excited to hear more new music from Amyna, but there are no dates on the horizon to look out for just yet. We're grateful to get this sneak peek at what she's working on though. Be sure to check out her cover performance below if you missed that the first time around.

Another month brings a new featured artist from the the ChiBrations crew. Focusing their spotlight on Chicago artists, they're always surprising us with names we're not yet familiar with, and we take pride in having our ears to the ground. This just goes to show how necessary ChiBrations is and how deep our local singer/songwriter community really is.

Following season opener and co-founder Sam Trump last month, November highlights Chicago native Amyna Love. Performing arts teacher by day and aspiring performer herself in her spare time, Amyna is asked to kick off November with a cover of Prince's "I Would Die For You" with some help from band members Gabe Alston (Bass), Terry Patrick (Keys) and Leonard Maddox (Drums).

While Amyna's original catalog is fairly thin at this stage in her career, she's approached each performance with strength and confidence, doing justice to any song she sings with a voice that is nothing if not memorable. Listen to "I Would Die For You" now and check back in a few weeks for something new and original from Amyna.
