Perfect Version Lookbook • Jabril Power Expands to Clothing
Creative expressionist Jabril Power has a mind that seems to be constantly at work. Before he hopped on my radar, he had already written a philosophical self-help book called What To Do. Following his literary debut, he joined forces with producer/multi-instrumentalist Elias Abid, creating the post rap duo Abandoned Mall Arcade. Releasing an EP as well as a split single, Jabril continued his prolific run with a solo project known as SKIN. From there, Jabril Power made his way to speaking at Harvard, crafting a speech titled Building Confidence: Looking Beyond the Surface. A "matrioshka brain" indeed.
Now, to step into even further realms of imagination, Power has launched his own clothing line known as Perfect Version. Kickstarting with mesh, curved hem jerseys in red, white, and blue, the unreleased lookbook is featured throughout this article. Power models the new fit alongside friends and fellow artists Aura (of Iris Temple) and Elias Abid. Dolly Avenue, who shot our Appleby and Elias Abid cover story for May, handled photography duties here. Along with premiering the lookbook, we spoke with Power a bit about his vision and his brand, which you can read following the gallery below.
"PERFECT VERSION has always been about being the Perfect Version of yourself. Everyone is unique, and we try to express that with each installation in the PERFECT VERSION series. We don't really pay attention much to trends but try to focus on functionality and bold design.
"These White+Gold Jerseys are apart of our limited summer collection. The jerseys are of a light, breathable mesh so they are specifically meant to be worn in the heat.
"We hope that this lookbook inspires and encourages more people around the world to invest in the collection."
